Bjork's New Mask is Based on Scans of Her Bone and Tissue

The 3D printed mask is based off of digital scans of Björk's bone and tissue and will be used throughout her "Björk Digital" series.

Björk partnered with architect, designer and Associate Professor of Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Lab, Neri Oxman on the "Rottlace mask." In an interview with Dezeen, Naomi Kaempfer of Stratasys, the additive manufacturing company that printed the mask, stated that 3D printing "not only provides the freedom to produce perfect fitting costumes for the film and music industries but also the inimitable capacity to materialise a unique fantasy to such a precise level of detail and 3D expression."
